Between 1989 and 1998 a team at the University of Regensburg in Germany, finally transformed into Etosha Consult International, successfully performed various projects on scientic and technical co-operation (climatic and environmental change) that finally arrived at the implementation of the 'Landscape-Ecological Risk Information System' (LERIS®). LERIS is a contribution of the Republic of Namibia to the implementation of the Agenda 21 document of the UN Conference at Rio de Janeiro 1992. The German Second Television ZDF in 'planet e' on 13th July 1999 reported on the GTZ funded LERIS® project. coming soon |
